Positive: The layout of the house. Negative: Beds were uncomfortable couldn't, sleep well and kept waking up with a bad back, there was a constant 'egg smell' in passage way and in back garden (possibly blocked drains), leak in living room ceiling.

It was perfect for us really enjoyed it lovely walk into the village to Mayfield Pub and Wilson’s food store and a nice Positive: Location and very spacious and clean Negative: Would like mirrors in bedroom so we can dry our hair instead of in the kitchen. Would like blinds in front downstairs windows as no privacy from the road. More serving dishes as we had to use cereal dishes and then rinse so we could have desert.

A truthful review of what we experienced at Cornerways, Seamer March 20-23 2026 Positive: Its location to Scarborough, open plan, lots of car parking space and no step access. Negative: A truthful review of what we experienced at Cornerways, Seamer March 20-23 2026 As you drive In you will be impressed by the huge drive for 3 cars and an electric car charger. There is a ramp for no step access, you open the door and are greeted by an open plan kitchen dinning, sitting area, it looks the part. As you tour the areas you realise that there are some issues like small holes in-the roof and not a single pair of curtains on any of the three sets of French windows and big kitchen window. As the night got dark it was like a goldfish bowl.. no privacy at all and the caravan park opposite and multiple dog walkers could see your every move day and night! The kitchen….there were three kitchen cupboard doors that weren’t on properly, easily fixed with the screw driver which we did. The rest of the kitchen was great everything you need including some little extras, thank you😃 The ground floor bedroom is lovely but you couldn’t turn a wheelchair round in it and the bathroom door opens towards the bed, it was tight. There was no tv in this bedroom but there is in every other bedroom? The curtains in this bedroom fell down off the wall, raw plugs and all when we closed them on day 2 of the holiday. We contacted the accommodation to see what we should do but they didn’t answer that message. So we carefully pushed them back up but didn’t touch them again, The disabled bathroom is impressively big, but the bottom of the shower curtain is orange and looked grubby and the drain didn’t drain away properly so you’re stood in a big puddle of water. The outside area, the furniture couldn’t be sat on because of green moss all over it, the paving slabs were green too., there was old bird poo splodges on the slabs and lid of hot tub. The hot tub only had one lock on the lid, repaired cracks in the tub itself, no back bar to help lift the lid, nowhere to hang your towel, but…on the plus side it worked really well.

Good but could be better Positive: The space and layout was very good. Ample parking and communication with the owners. The hot tub was great to use. Was nice to have tea, coffee and sugar there for use upon arrival. The premises were very clean inside and access was as described. Plenty of space, lots of bedrooms and all the facilities you required. Great location to the local pub, cafe, fish and chip shop and shop. 20 minutes from Scarborough by car. Would recommend for a group of people. Negative: Whilst most of the showers in the house were good. The main bathroom shower kept going hot and cold when in use. Also the location of the key safe when trying to open in the dark was somewhat precarious as there was no light on to see what you were doing, along with the raised kerb along the pavement is a bit unsafe. The metal post around the hot tub broke off and we wasn't sure what it was actually there for. And generally we felt the kitchen/living area was a bit tired with holes in the ceilings where there had been previous lights and dents in the floor from the stools. The bedrooms also didn't warm up with the heating as well as could have been expected. Also we had numerous flies gathering in the living area from what, we weren't sure. I hope these are taken as constructive comments to address future issues for guests and not as a negative. As the premises overall were good.

We enjoyed our stay and would stay again Positive: Location, hot tub, open plan living area, communication Negative: Quality of mattresses. Very soft and unsupportive.
