Adventure Cottage/House

Fantastic location and gorgeous place Positive: Amazing location and gorgeous view of the Abbey from our bedroom. Cosy comfy lounge and was lovely and warm. Had everything we needed a short walk away from a lovely range of pubs (shout out to The Elsinore, Beer O’Clock and The Green Dragon!!). Also had the epic Fish and Chip Afternoon Tea at Hetty and Betty - literally a few minutes walk away. Negative: Nothing - bed was a little on the firm side but thats entirely personal and not a reflection on the property as a whole at all.

Great location, needs some TLC! Positive: Fantastic location in town, cosy cottage, well equipped and comfortable beds. Value for money. Negative: It definitely needs a refresh and felt a little unclean. There were significant signs of damp in the main bedroom on the walls/ stains. Little details like the shower screen in house bathroom, the seal was green with mould. Generally made the place feel unclean though I'm sure it wasn't, just needs a bit of TLC. The mattress protectors revealed once stripped beds as instructed were in need of replacement. The house was also freezing on arrival and the boiler had been switched off. Would have been lovely to arrive to a warm home. The parking situation is challenging in Whitby anyway, luckily there's a loading bay to drop bags off but had to park 10 minutes away.

Around good experience Positive: The facilities were perfect for a short stay. The location was great too. Negative: Parking wasn't great but the parking permit was a nice touch.

Thanks to Gary who sorted out the mix up we did enjoy our stay in the end. Positive: Location once we found the right property which is in fact called adventure house and not adventure cottage as per all the documentation Negative: I booked adventure cottage only to be told on arrival at adventure cottage that it was adventure house and we had to relocate all our cases. I will be emailing regarding this issue
