Cosy Coastal Apartment 2

Positive: The apartment was very modern and spotlessly clean,on site parking was a massive bonus and it was close to all amenities. Negative: There is quite a few steps to gain access to the apartment but it is worth it,

Lovely flat for weekend away Positive: Great location and beautifully decorated flat. Perfect base for a family weekend in Brid. Negative: I struggled a bit with getting my car in the parking space!

Sort the entrance and cleaning & it will be faultless Positive: Very nicely furnished and extremely comfortable Negative: The entrance and stairway gives very bad first impression on entering the building it’s tatty and dirty and seeing Full and smelly vacuum as soon as you come in does not stand good the cream carpets in the actual department were very badly stained. The kitchen although lovely and very well laid out with all utensils - I had to put bleach everywhere to counteract the smell of the bin which I ended up having to clean as well . All the above being said we had a wonderful stay and the apartment is beautiful

Good location but an average stay otherwise Positive: Location is great; less than ten minutes walk to the main promenade with plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants, and the port for boat trips. Negative: We were left disappointed. We were told we could arrive at 3pm, but at 3:30pm we arrived and all the dirty laundry from the previous guests was in a pile on the floor. Beds with no sheets etc. Toilet was dirty. House hadn't been cleaned. Contacted the host who told me cleaners would be there soon to clean but this wasn't really acceptable since we had agreed an early check in. We then had to awkwardly wait for the cleaners to clean around us when they did arrive which sort of set us off on a bad start. Not really for us to have to go out of our way to chase to resolve when we'd agreed 3pm. The amenities listed include tea, coffee, sugar etc. but there was none. They have a Nespresso coffee machine with no pods - helpful. Only two toilet rolls, and one was half used. No bath soap, body wash or shampoo/conditioner, again, despite being listed when we booked. No foil, cling film, olive oil, salt or pepper. As a self-catered property you would expect these basic essentials and as someone who travels frequently, I've never arrived at a property that has been so poorly stocked. Very disappointing when there isn't even a teabag, as so many properties often go above and beyond to provide a welcome gesture (i.e. fresh bread, small glass bottle of milk or a small cake or similar). Felt a bit ironic as in the literature on the coffee table it clearly states the owners are very well travelled and saw a gap in what holiday homes can serve; and then they serve the bare minimum. Bathroom window and one of the lounge windows were locked with no key. It was 29 degrees during our stay, and quite frankly this was unacceptable. Each morning at approx 9:30am scaffold is being erected outside the property - we were not warned or told of this and as you can imagine, not the most relaxing or pleasant experience when you are on holiday and trying to rest and relax. A polite email prior to arrival would have been the right thing to do.

Really enjoyable stay in a great location. Positive: The property was in a great location, and really handy to get to everything in Bridlington. Close to the sea, lovely sea view, nice short walk to the harbour, and all of the shops and amenities Loads of great places to eat. Nicely presented, and clean inside, and the beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed staying here very much. Negative: Lots of stairs, on loads of levels. To be expected in an apartment, but there are really lots of them - not easy carrying luggage. The parking space is great to have, but round a very small tight back road - and no instructions were given as to how to find it. Outside space was a bit grotty, bins overflowing with rubbish, lots of flies, cigarette ends outside the shared outside door - we do not smoke and would rather not see this. The stair way was a bit grotty too - but once inside the apartment we found that to be nicely decorated. There is no fire escape though, which is a bit worrying for apartments, plus some of the windows don't actually open so this might be a bit of a fire hazard.
